Rewrite $ d^{10}-100 $ as:
$$ d^{10}-100 = (d^{5})^2 - (10)^2 $$Now we can apply the difference of squares formula.
$$ I^2 - II^2 = (I - II)(I + II) $$After putting $ I = d^{5} $ and $ II = 10 $ , we have:
$$ d^{10}-100 = (d^{5})^2 - (10)^2 = ( d^{5}-10 ) ( d^{5}+10 ) $$
